Team Profiles

Greg Gunter, E.A., MST  –  Founded Skytax in 1989. Greg passed away March 7, 2016 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was an Enrolled Agent and held a Master of Science degree in Taxation from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Business Administration and Accounting. He was employed by American Airlines in 1987 as a flight attendant. Greg was union rep and National Treasurer of APFA.   He was a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents and National Association of Tax Professionals.

Craig Gunter, E.A., MST  –  Co-owner, founded Skytax in 1989 along with his twin brother Greg.  He is an Enrolled Agent and holds a Master of Science degree in Taxation from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Business Administration and Accounting.  He has been employed by US Airways since 1988 as a flight attendant and now American Airlines. Craig was elected to the position of National Treasurer of APFA after Greg passed away. He is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents and National Association of Tax Professionals.

David Velez, BA, Senior Accountant  –  Holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a dual major in finance and accounting from the University of New Hampshire. He was a member of the Account Students Association during his time at UNH. Over the course of his college career he obtained technical skills where he earned certification in Microsoft: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, and also HTML and Quickbooks. He is also a member of the National Association of Tax Preparers.  David started with Skytax in July of 2016.

Marjorie Gunter, CPA, MBA  –  Retired. Marjorie worked in public accounting at Arthur Young for many years. She was a Professor of Accounting at Miami Dade Community College and Birmingham Southern College. Holds her MBA from Stamford University and Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Chairperson of Division of Economics, Business Administration and Accounting at Birmingham Southern.

Paula Stallard, BA, Office Manager  –  Paula is a graduate of Baldwin Wallace College where she received a BA in communications. After graduation, Paula launched her career in the travel industry with Clipper Cruise Lines specializing in customer service. Once the travel bug bit, it led to a 15 year union with American Airlines as a flight attendant, and eventually to her current position with Skytax!  As office manager, Paula is responsible for a variety of administrative and clerical duties. Her broad understanding of all facets of the company’s operation makes her a valuable member of the Skytax team.  In her free time, she enjoys playing and coaching volleyball. Her husband is a pilot with Delta Airlines and they have two teenage children together.
